Commit Your Life to Christ
Good people don’t go to heaven, forgiven people do. How do you get forgiven? By committing your life to Christ. Check out the video below for more information on how to make that decision.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NLT)
If you have questions about committing your life to Christ or would like to speak with a pastor, select your campus and fill out the Get In Touch form.
Experience Life is always excited about the opportunity to baptize those who have committed their lives to Christ. If you haven’t been baptized and would like to be, please contact us and we will put your name down for our next Baptism Celebration.
“They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household. … Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized.” (Acts 16:31-33 NLT)
If you haven’t been baptized since committing your life to Christ, then we would challenge you to go public with your faith in Jesus and get baptized! You can sign up for the next Baptism Celebration by contacting your campus staff.
Experience Life wouldn’t be here without our amazing volunteers. Much of what you see at Experience Life is led by volunteers. We’re always looking for more people who want to change the world, so if that’s you, we’d love for you to join us!
“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:26-28 NLT)
Since Jesus came to serve and not be served, we want to be servants just like Jesus. We’ve got many opportunities for you to serve, so click on your campus below & find the opportunity that’s best for you.
Giving begins with realizing that God has given us everything we have. Since it’s all God’s, we have to continually ask God how he wants us to spend the money he’s given to us. One of the things he’s told us to do is give some of the money away.
“…You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” (Acts 20:35)
Many people wonder who they should give to & how much. Throughout the Bible, God teaches His followers to start by giving 10% of their income to their church. This is a great place to begin. Like the other Next Steps, giving expresses our dependence on God and let’s us further experience the blessing of being a part of what He is doing. Click the link below to see the different ways that you can give to Experience Life.
Attend a Prayer Gathering
We often say this about our Prayer Gathering, “If we want to see results like they saw in the Book of Acts, we have to pray like they prayed in the Book of Acts.” In the Book of Acts in the Bible, the early Christians were seeing God do miraculous things as they prayed together. We are seeing miraculous things in our day too & we believe it is linked to people gathering to pray.
“They all met together and were constantly united in prayer…” (Acts 1:14)
God loves to answer prayer. That makes prayer very powerful. We hope that you’ll join us soon at one of our Prayer Gatherings to pray with us. No one is asked to pray out loud and you are welcome to just come and listen. You’ll find that the atmosphere is very similar to a Weekend Gathering.
Join a Group
Acts 2:42-47 talks about how the early church met in large groups for worship but also in small groups for building deeper relationships and devoting themselves to spiritual growth.
Our small groups are called, Life Transformation Groups (LTGs). These groups are open to everyone regardless of where they are spiritually. We want to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. This is a great place to learn more about what the Bible has to say about your everyday life. We want you to feel totally comfortable. You are welcome to just come and listen.
The purposes of LTGs are:
- Accountability: we want to “devote ourselves” to being disciples by living out the truths communicated in sermons and by growing in spiritual disciplines that will change our lives.
- Service: we want to be a blessing to our city through LTGs that are meeting needs in Jesus’ name.
- Multiplication: we want to make disciples that make more disciples through our leadership development and multiplication process: attend, apprentice, lead, and coach.
Lead a Group
Jesus told his disciples to go and make disciples of all the nations. Every disciple, or follower of Jesus, should become a disciple-maker. At Experience Life, we want to help every follower of Jesus become a disciple-maker!
Disciple-makers at eLife are our LTG Leaders. LTG Leaders lead their groups to engage in spiritual disciplines, serve the city in Jesus’ name, raise up new leaders and start new groups.
The process to become a leader is to attend a group, become an apprentice of an existing leader, walk through our training materials, and then lead a group.
Take your “Next Step” towards being a disciple-maker by plugging in to a group!
At Experience Life, our vision is to see a multiplication movement through every follower of Jesus taking “Next Steps” to become a disciple-maker that makes disciple-makers!
This process takes place as our existing leaders raise up new leaders, or disciple-makers, in their groups and plant a new group. When a leader plants a new group the existing leader becomes a Coach. A Coach is a leader that trains another leader or leaders to do the same thing they did. That Coach will continue to meet with their leaders for encouragement, prayer, accountability, and ongoing training.
We are seeing a multiplication movement take place in West Texas right now and are praying that the Lord will cause the numbers of disciples to continue to multiply (Acts 6:1)!
Take your “Next Step” towards being a disciple-maker that makes disciple-makers and join the multiplication movement by plugging in to a group!
